Genevieve Kemarr Loy Paintings
Genevieve Kemarr Loy, Utopia artist, daughter of Cowboy Loy, grandaughter of Nancy Petyarr, fine dot artist who paints the Bush Turkey story
Who is Genevieve Kemarr Loy?
Utopia artist Genevieve Kemarr Loy continues the tradition of major painters of the Utopia homelands. She has been exhibiting her artwork for the past twelve years including exhibitions in France and Russia as well as major galleries across Australia. Genevieve paints the tracks made by the bush turkey as it searches out bush foods and water. The close association between art and the natural world are reflected in the stories carried by the artists from ceremonial stories presented by Anmatyerr culture. Genevieve uses colour that reflects the bush life and bush foods.
Genevieve has exhibited her paintings over the past twelve years including several exhibitions at Japingka Gallery.
