New video library for Aboriginal art resources

There has been a noticeable and exciting rise in the number of teachers, students and art lovers keen to learn about Australian Aboriginal art.

We are also observing that video is increasingly the way that people learn and share this information. YouTube and Vimeo and other video databases can be so large, Japingka has launched a new curated collection of quality educational video resources that relate to Indigenous Australian art.

Some of this material is sourced from our own collection, others are links to videos from useful sources such as art centres, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) or The Guardian. Over time we'll be adding more resources.

In every case, we feel these videos are a useful record of some aspect of this incredible art movement.

There is still so much work to do to get us to a point where this wonderful art is as understood and celebrated as it deserves to be.

We are pleased to be launching this searchable set of videos about Australian Indigenous art and we hope you enjoy it.

If you know of another resource that you’d like to see included please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
